Photographing the Dagestan Museum of Fine Arts collection of paintings and graphics for the Google Arts & Culture account
A large-scale digitization project was carried out at the Dagestan Museum of Fine Arts named after P. S. Gamzatova. As part of the project, more than 500 works of painting and graphic art were digitized.
The shooting was conducted in the museum’s exhibition halls using professional equipment, which made it possible to achieve high precision and image detail. This allowed for the preservation of artists’ signatures, collectors’ seals, and other unique elements essential for attribution and research.
The resulting materials form part of the museum’s digital archive, helping to preserve and make accessible the artistic heritage of the region for scholars and the wider public.
